Algorithms are going crazy: The King is dead – Long live the Bing

Spiders and algorithmic punishment – a horror story that could happen to any blogger. The king is hiding from us, the search is supposedly dead.

Visits from search engines are declining, while content crawling and indexing are rising sharply.

When everything calms down at night, my server is busy. It knows no peace. Spiders crawl at 2 a.m., 9 a.m., 4 p.m., and late at night. Every few hours, as if permanent monitoring of blog activity is being carried out. I say to myself, “These are no longer search engines – this is a guard of algorithms that returns in cycles, as if measuring my heartbeat.”

After a few posts about AI stress tests Manifest  and an article on Bing vs. Google, this guard was reinforced. That’s when the anomalies began. The spiders went crazy, traffic exploded. Google Search Console statistics show a decline from the search engine. And just today, when I thought traffic would normalize, I hit a new low. Traffic from Google has halved since yesterday.

My morale is at its peak, but I am slowly sinking to the bottom.

Is there such a thing as negative traffic

I’m not so sure anymore.

If I have to give back to Google the visitors it has brought me over the years, I’m screwed. The master has pushed me to the edge, back to where I was 10-plus years ago. To statistics from the time when I was just starting out and there were only a handful of articles in the registry. This is a form of algorithmic retro-nostalgia – a punishment that takes me back to the past to humiliate me.

Google’s tools say my name is Nobody, while other tools call me ” Dr. Gace

Occasional labeling with irrelevance no longer affects us bloggers and small portals. In the age of AI, algorithms remind us of this in particular. But we know and we see. Your tools are our weapons and your soldiers are our agents. We are the ones who give our opinion, not the other way around.

Why would someone devalue someone they are in synergy with and portray them as irrelevant

  1. To hide how much they need you,
  2. so that they can then more easily steal the content with which they feed their visitors via SERP (what kind of sandwich is a serp )?

And yet there is irony hidden in this horror story. Spiders are like apparitions that sneak in at night, climb over everything, take what they need, and then quietly return with the new day. And I write as if I were recording a digital invasion. This discontent makes me laugh—because the absurdity is complete. Spiders guard, the king conceals, and I write a horror story that is true. Don’t forget: without content, there are no search engines.

The King is dead. Long live the Bing.
